WinaStar Creations was the brainchild of Jorgelia Nino and her daughter Bergeling Veracierta both originally from Venezuela. The business started in 2002 in their native country and subsequently established in the United States in 2005. One of the primary items use in our creations is the Tagua Nut. It is a fruit seed that comes from a Palm tree that grows in the tropical rainforest of South America.  Artisans from Ecuador, Colombia, Peru, and Panama, etc. convert the Tagua nut into beautiful beads with different shapes. We then  hand make each piece one at a time, using different shape of Tagua nuts, combining color, texture, additional material that complement the design. In many of our creations we combine the Tagua nut with crystal, coconut, wood, and Acai beads; creating a unique one a kind piece. Also, we use waxed cord, silver and gold chains, as well as, gold, silver, copper, and sterling silver fittings. Our jewelry is truly one of a kind and 100% manufactured by our own hands. It is truly a labor of love. We also create other specialty pieces based upon the customer’s request.
